The sound design was spatialized through a 20-faced IKO loudspeaker array, enabling Ambisonic projection of scent-triggered sonic textures within the installation. The spherical configuration of the IKO system allowed sounds to rotate, diffuse, and interact dynamically with the audience’s position, enhancing the work’s sense of sensory immersion and spatial intimacy.
Sensors embedded within the structure activate additional auditory layers as viewers approach, creating a dynamic interplay between presence and perception. By intertwining smell and sound—two senses often overlooked in exhibition spaces—the work invites deeper engagement with memory, emotion, and the body.
The installation evokes the fluidity of cultural identity, the randomness of connection, and the invisible forces that shape our sensory experience. It transforms an everyday mechanism of chance into a poetic system of resonance, where motion, scent, and sound intertwine to form a shared sensorial landscape of diversity and exchange.
